Patricia Ludovici was born in Philadelphia where she began experimenting with glass and 3D art at the early age of 13 in a hot glass shop just outside of the city. She then went on to receive her BFA in glass at the California College of Arts and Crafts. After graduation She worked for a number of years with various glass artists, in and around the bay area California, most notably the glass caster Clifford Rainy. She lived and worked in Berlin, Germany for the 3 years pursuing her art. In 2012 she was awarded an artist in residence at Berlin Glas e.V. Berlin’s first hot glass studio. She holds a master’s degree in 3D from San Jose state. She has shown her work in and around the Bay Area and Portland as well as in Berlin, Germany. In 2018 she was awarded The Gail Fullerton Endowment and the Elizabeth Heil Scholarship. She has a studio in down town Oakland.
